About Me

My name is Ysidro Mendivil, however, all my friends and family call me “JR”. I have practiced and taught martial arts for over 40 years. I maintain a Master Instructor rank and train with GM Michael Conniry at the Pacific Martial Arts Foundation in San Diego.
As principal for StrengthBalanceFitnessGuru and SilverNinjas, I provide contract instruction as the Head Martial Arts Instructor for the Signal Hill My Gym, and the Fitness and Martial Arts programs at Limai Montessori, and provide private and group lessons to all ages. I offer dynamic adult fall prevention skill workshops and seminars.  My passion is to teach and learn. ​
